Only If For A Night0 comentarios martes, 13 de diciembre de 2011![]() Artista: Florence + The Machine Tema: Only If For A NightÁlbum: Ceremonials Año: 2011 Género: Indie Pop, Art Rock, Baroque Pop, Soul, Experimental País: Inglaterra Only If For A Night And I had a dream About my old school And she was there all pink and gold and glittering I threw my arms around her legs Came to weeping Came to weeping And I heard your voice As clear as day And you told me I should concentrate It was all so strange And so surreal That a ghost should be so practical Only if for a night And the only solution was to stand and fight And my body was loose and I was set alight But she came over me like some holy rite And although I was burning, you're the only light Only if for a night In the grass was so green against my new clothes And I did cartwheels in your honour Dancing on tiptoes My own secret ceremonials Before the service began In the graveyard doing handstands And I heard your voice As clear as day And you told me I should concentrate It was all so strange And so surreal That a ghost should be so practical Only if for a night And the only solution was to stand and fight And my body was loose and I was set alight But she came over me like some holy rite And although I was burning, you're the only light Only if for a night Madam, my dear, my day Tell me what all this sayings about Tell me what all this sayings about And I heard your voice As clear as day And you told me I should concentrate It was all so strange And so surreal That a ghost should be so practical Only if for a night Only if for a night Sólo Si Por Una Noche Y tuve un sueño Sobre mi vieja escuela Y ella estaba allí toda color de rosa, y oro y brillante Lancé mis brazos alrededor de sus piernas Comencé a llorar Comencé a llorar. Blue Lips0 comentarios martes, 25 de octubre de 2011Artista: Regina Spektor Tema: Blue Lips Álbum: Far Año: 2009 Género: Indie Folk, Blues, Antifolk País: Rusia Link de descarga (formato mp3): Blue Lips He stumbled into faith and thought God, there is all there is. The pictures in his mind arose, And began to breathe. And all the gods and all the worlds Began colliding on a backdrop of blue. Blue lips, blue veins He took a step but then felt tired, He said I'll rest a little while. But when he tried to walk again, He wasn't a child. And all the people hurried fast, real fast And no one ever smiled. Blue lips, blue veins. Blue, the color of our planet From far, far away. Blue lips, blue veins. Blue, the color of our planet From far, far away. He stumbled into faith and thought God, there is all there is. The pictures in his mind arose And began to breathe. And no one saw and no one heard They just followed the lead. The pictures in his mind arose And began to breathe. And no one saw. And no one heard they just followed the lead The pictures in his mind awoke. And began to breed. They started off beneath an olive tree And they chopped it down to make a picket fence And marching along the railroad tracks They smiled real wide for the camera lens As they made it past the enemy lines Just to become enslaved in the enemy lines Blue lips, blue veins Blue, the color of our planet From far, far away Blue lips, blue veins Blue, the color of our planet From far, far away Blue, the most human color [x3] Blue lips, blue veins Blue, the color of our planet From far, far away Lady0 comentariosÁlbum: Begin to Hope Año: 2004 Género: Soul, Indie País: Rusia Link de descarga (formato mp3): Lady Lady sings the blues so well, As if she mean it As if it's hell down here In the smoke-filled world Where the jokes are cold They don't laugh at jokes They laugh at tragedies. Corner street societies, But they believe her. They never leave her While she sings she make them feel things. She says, I can sing this song so blue That you will cry in spite of you. Little wet tears on your baby's shoulder, Little wet tears on your baby's shoulder. And I have walked these streets so long, There ain't nothing right, there ain't nothing wrong. But the little wet tears on my baby's shoulder, The little wet tears on your baby's shoulder. Lady lights a cigarette, puffs away, no regret, Takes a look around, no regrets, no regrets, Stretches out like branches of a poplar tree. She says, I'm free Sings so soft as if she'll break, says I can sing this song so blue That you will cry in spite of you. Little wet tears on your baby's shoulder, Little wet tears on your baby's shoulder. I have walked these streets so long, There ain't nothing right, nothing wrong. But the little wet tears on my baby's shoulder, The little wet tears on your baby's shoulder. But on this stage, I've learned to fly. Learned to sing, And learned to cry. Little wet tears on my baby's shoulder, Little wet tears on my baby's shoulder. But now it's time, To say goodbye. Some might laugh, But I will surely cry. Little wet tears on my baby's shoulder, Little wet tears on my baby's shoulder. Lady lights a cigarette, Puffs away, and winter comes. And she forgets. Ode to Divorce0 comentariosÁlbum: Soviet Kitsch Año: 2004 Género: Indie Folk, Antifolk, Alternativo País: Rusia Link de descarga (formato mp3): Ode To Divorce The food that I'm eating Is suddenly tasteless I know I'm alone now, I know what it tastes like So break me to small parts Let go in small doses. But spare some for spare parts, There might be some good ones. Like you might make a dollar. I'm inside your mouth now, Behind your tonsils, Peeking over your molars. You're talking to her now And you've eaten something minty And you're making that face that I like And you're going in, in for the kill, kill For the killer kiss, kiss for the kiss, kiss. I need your money, it'll help me I need your car and I need your love [x2] So won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out, out, out, out, out? So break me to small parts Let go in small doses, But spare some for spare parts, You might make a dollar Dollar, might make a dollar. So won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out? Won't you help a brother out, out, out, out, out? So break me to small parts, Let go in small doses But spare some for spare parts There might be some good ones. You might make a dollar (There might be some good ones) There might be some good ones (You might make a dollar) You might make a dollar (There might be some good ones) There might be some good ones Samson0 comentariosArtista: Regina Spektor Tema: Samson Álbum: Songs Año: 2002 Género: Indie Folk, Antifolk, Alternativo País: Rusia Samsom You are my sweetest downfall. I loved you first, I loved you first. Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth, I have to go, I have to go. Your hair was long when we first met. Samson went back to bed, Not much hair left on his head. Ate a slice of wonder bread, And went right back to bed. And the history books forgot about us, And the bible didn't mention us, And the bible didn't mention us Not even once. You are my sweetest downfall, I loved you first, I loved you first. Beneath the stars came falling on our heads, But they're just old light, they're just old light. Your hair was long when we first met. Samson came to my bed, Told me that my hair was red, Told me I was beautiful and Came into my bed. Oh I cut his hair myself one night, A pair of dull scissors in the yellow light. And he told me that I'd done alright, And kissed me till the morning light, The morning light. And kissed me till the morning light. Samson went back to bed, Not much hair left on his head, Ate a slice of wonder bread, And went right back to bed. Oh we couldn't bring the columns down, Yeah we couldn't destroy a single one. And the history books forgot about us, And the bible didn't mention us, Not even once. You are my sweetest downfall, I loved you first. Love Affair0 comentariosÁlbum: 11:11 Eleven Eleven Año: 2001 Género: Indie Folk, Antifolk, pop País: Rusia Love Affair There was a love affair in this building, The kind of love affair Which every respectable building must keep as a legend. Slowly festering through an innocent "by the way" Or "have you heard" He was perfect except for the fact that he was an engineer, And mothers prefer doctors and lawyers. Yet despite this imperfection, He was clean-looking and respectable-looking And you'll never find a mother Who doesn't appreciate a natural man. So he grew healthy aloe vera plants by the window, Healthy teeth in his mouth, Healthy hair on his head. He grew healthy wavy brown hair on his head. The kind, the kind that babies always go for With sticky little fingers.
